Complete 4-Day Rwenzori Trek & Waterfalls Itinerary
Day 1: Trek to Sine Camp (2,596m) & Enock Falls Visit
After a briefing from your guides, you’ll begin the trek through the Afro-montane forest zone. This steady climb will take you through diverse plant species, birdlife and the opportunity to spot Colobus monkeys. After reaching Sine Camp, enjoy a visit to Enock Falls, just 200 meters away, before settling in for the evening. (Approx. 6 km, 5–6 hours of walking)
Day 2: Hike to Kalalama Camp & Samalira Camp (3,430m)
Hike through the bamboo zone, reaching Kalalama Camp at 3,134m for panoramic views. Continue to Samalira Camp (3,430m), passing by waterfalls like Samalira Falls and lush lobelia gardens. The day’s journey will immerse you in the unique flora and natural beauty of the highlands. (Approx. 10 km, 6–7 hours of walking)
Day 3: Waterfalls Trek & Nyamwamba Falls Visit
Today’s trek takes you past Kamalha Falls and Cathy’s Falls (optional detour). Continue through Plozza Falls, where you can take a rest and enjoy a packed lunch. Your final stop of the day is Forest View Camp (2,580m), a serene location with stunning views. Relax and recharge in this peaceful environment. (Approx. 12 km, 7–8 hours of walking)
Day 4: Descent to Kilembe Basecamp
On your final day, you’ll descend through moss-covered rocks and dense forests, passing by rivers and waterfalls on the way back to Kilembe Basecamp. Enjoy your last views of the mountains before debriefing and heading to your hotel. (Approx. 14 km, 6–8 hours of walking)
