- Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Entebbe Airport for your domestic flight to Bwindi.
- Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
- Day 3: Domestic flight to Kasese and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive and overnight stay.
- Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.
- Day 5: Domestic flight back to Entebbe for drop-off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your trip.
Tour Plan
Domestic Flight to Kihihi or Kisoro
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Entebbe Airport for your internal flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Depending on your chosen destination within the park, you will land at either Kihihi (serving the northern and eastern regions) or Kisoro Airstrip (serving the southern region). Upon arrival, a guide will transfer you to your lodge for an overnight stay. Morning flights depart Entebbe at 7:45 am, while afternoon flights leave at 3:30 pm. For the southern part of Bwindi, only one morning flight is available, departing Entebbe at 7:45 am due to strong winds in the region. The flight duration is approximately 1.5 hours.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, you'll head to the park headquarters with a packed lunch for registration and a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. At 7:45 am, you’ll begin your trek through the dense forest, guided by experienced trackers. Depending on the gorilla's location, the trek can take anywhere from half an hour to most of the day. The forest is steep and thick, but the experience of encountering these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat is truly extraordinary.

Domestic Flight to Kasese and Afternoon Game Drive
After breakfast, you will be driven back to Kisoro or Kihihi for your flight to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in the park, where you can spot various wildlife species.

Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel
Begin the day with an early morning game drive on the Kasenyi Plains, where you'll have the chance to see animals that may have eluded you on the previous drive. After lunch at the lodge, you’ll head to the pier for a two-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, known for having one of the world's highest concentrations of hippos. This cruise offers excellent opportunities to see water birds, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and other wildlife. The cruise also includes a visit to local fishing villages within the park, where you’ll learn about the harmonious coexistence of people and wildlife.

Domestic Flight Back to Entebbe
After breakfast, you'll transfer to Mweya or Kasese Airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe. If you have a morning flight, you’ll head directly to the airport. If booked on an afternoon flight, you may opt for an additional game drive or a chimpanzee walk in Kyambura Gorge before your return flight.

Can I reschedule or cancel this trip?
- Rescheduling: You can reschedule this trip as a private tour to any date within 12 months at no additional cost.
- Booking Deposit: A 30% deposit of the total tour price is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 45 days before the tour departure date. Bookings not secured with the appropriate deposit will be released.
- Cancellation Policy:
- Cancel between 90 and 45 days before departure: 20% penalty of the tour price.
- Cancel within 45 days of departure or no show: 100% penalty of the tour price.
Availability and Accommodations
- Reservations: Accommodation and activity availability is not guaranteed until reservations are confirmed with the final itinerary and deposit payment. If any quoted accommodations are unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute them with suitable alternatives, which may affect the final quoted price.
Insurance
- Requirement: All clients must have medical and travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
Rates
- Subject to Change: Tour rates are subject to change without notice. We will make every effort to maintain rates, but changes in government taxes or operating conditions may be passed on to clients.
Permit Cancellation Policy
Uganda Gorilla Permit Cancellation Policy
- Guarantee: A Gorilla Permit is guaranteed only upon receipt of the deposit ($800 per person per trek) as it must be paid immediately to the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
Cancellation Fees
- More than 90 days before tracking: 25% cancellation fee.
- 89 to 46 days before tracking: 50% cancellation fee.
- 45 to 9 days before tracking: 75% cancellation fee.
- 8 to 0 days before tracking: 100% cancellation fee.
Important Information
- Age Requirement: The minimum age for gorilla tracking is 15 years.
- Health: Visitors with flu or other airborne diseases will not be allowed into the rainforest jungle to see the gorillas.
- Safety Protocols: Masks must be worn at all times, and a distance of 10 meters must be maintained between you and the gorillas.
