Your adventure begins with a pick-up by an Encounter Africa Safaris guide, who will brief you on the 4-day itinerary. You'll then drive northwards through small towns and the Nakasongola plains. An optional stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is available for those interested in tracking the remaining rhinos. Afterward, you will continue to Murchison Falls National Park, with lunch served en route.

Hot Air Balloon Safari and Boat Cruise to the Base of the Falls

You'll begin your day with a hot air balloon safari on the Paraa side of Murchison Falls National Park. If you're staying on the southern bank of the Nile, you'll be transferred by boat at around 5:00 am to join others on the Paraa side. The adventure starts at Paraa Lodge, where the crew will transport you to the balloon's launch site. Enjoy tea or coffee while the balloon is prepared, then embark on an unforgettable flight over the park. The 45-minute to one-hour experience offers breathtaking views of the rivers, wildlife, and landscapes below. After landing, you'll receive certificates and, if booked, enjoy a full bush breakfast. The day continues with an afternoon boat cruise to the base of the falls, where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge, creating the world's most powerful waterfall. Along the way, you'll spot various animals, including buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and numerous water birds. Afterward, you'll return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Boat Cruise to the Delta and Game Drive

After breakfast, embark on a boat cruise to the Nile Delta, a less commonly visited but equally remarkable part of Murchison Falls National Park. The Delta is a haven for bird lovers, with a high chance of spotting the rare shoebill stork. During the 2-hour cruise, you'll also have opportunities to see various animals crossing or swimming in the Nile. After the cruise, you may continue exploring the park with an en route game drive on the Paraa side.

Departure

After breakfast, you'll leisurely drive back to Kampala or Entebbe. An optional visit to the top of the falls can be arranged to observe this powerful natural wonder from above. Lunch will be served en route, and you'll arrive in Kampala/Entebbe in the afternoon.
