The most common way to reach the park is by road, taking approximately 5-6 hours from Nairobi. The journey provides opportunities for sightseeing. Roads are generally in good condition, although nearer the park, they become marram roads, giving you the unique experience known as the “African Massage.” A 4×4 vehicle is recommended, costing between $200-$350 per day, excluding the driver’s allowance.
