Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Kigali or Kigali International Airport for the 3-Day Luxury Gorilla Habituation Experience in Rushaga. The scenic drive to Rushaga takes about 4-5 hours, depending on the border crossing, which is an experience in itself.

Afternoon Options:

Upon arrival, you can choose to either immerse yourself in the local culture with a community or village walk or simply relax at the lodge. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, read a book, or sip on a local drink like Uganda Waragi with Krest Bitter Lemon Soda as you prepare for the next day’s encounter with the Gentle Giants of the Forest.

Day 2

Gorilla Habituation Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Rise early and head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of your gorilla habituation experience. Afterward, you’ll embark on a trek into the forest, guided by researchers and experienced guides. Along the way, you may encounter various bird species, other wildlife, and primates. Once you locate the gorillas, you’ll spend up to four hours observing them. This unique experience also allows you to witness and even participate in the researchers' work, such as collecting samples, naming group members, and more. After the trek, return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.
