Enduimet Wildlife Management Area: A Unique Safari Destination in Tanzania
Located at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, the Enduimet Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is renowned for being home to some of the largest elephants in East Africa. This area is not only a wildlife haven but also offers a glimpse into the traditional Maasai culture, where you can see the local pastoralists living in harmony with nature. Enduimet is a vital wildlife corridor, connecting Kilimanjaro and Amboseli National Parks and it forms an essential migration route for elephants, zebras and wildebeests.
Enduimet WMA is divided into two key zones: the Engasurai Tourist Hunting Zone and the Sinya Photographic Safari Zone, both offering unique experiences for wildlife enthusiasts. It also encompasses the northern part of the Kitendeni Wildlife Corridor, a crucial area for the survival of species migrating between Tanzania’s famous national parks.
