Top Things to Do and See in Lake Mburo National Park
February 5, 2025Explore Lake Mburo National Park on a Guided Nature Walk
A nature walk in Lake Mburo National Park is a unique and immersive way to experience Uganda’s wildlife up close. Unlike other parks, Lake Mburo has no lions or elephants and leopards are rarely seen, making it one of the safest places for guided walking safaris. As you explore the open savannah plains, you’ll encounter a variety of animals, including zebras, giraffes, elands, topis and impalas. Bird enthusiasts will also enjoy spotting some of the 332 bird species found in the park.
Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest savannah park in Uganda, yet it boasts incredible biodiversity. It is the only park in the country where you can see impalas and the only one in western Uganda home to zebras, giraffes and elands. At Trek Africa Gorillas, we incorporate nature walks into all our safari packages to Lake Mburo.
