The chimpanzee trekking permit allows you one hour of viewing once you’ve located a group of chimpanzees. This unforgettable experience is available in three sessions throughout the day: morning (8:00 AM), mid-morning (12:00 PM) and afternoon (2:00 PM). 2. Chimpanzee Habituation Experience: Deepen Your Connection

For a deeper connection with the chimpanzees, the Chimpanzee Habituation Experience is a must-do during your honeymoon in Kibale. This activity gives you the chance to spend four hours with a chimpanzee community in the process of being habituated to humans by researchers and park guides. Unlike the brief trekking experience, this activity allows you to follow the chimpanzees as they go about their daily lives—feeding, moving and interacting with each other.

The chimpanzee habituation permit costs USD 300 per person for non-foreign residents and USD 250 foreign residents and UGX 250,000 for East African citizens. This extended experience offers a rare and personal insight into chimpanzee behavior, making it a truly special honeymoon activity.
