When Is the Best Time for Chimpanzee Trekking in Kalinzu Forest?

The best time to book chimpanzee trekking in Kalinzu Forest is during Uganda’s dry seasons, from June to October and December to March. During these months, rainfall is minimal, making the trails more accessible and the vegetation less dense, which enhances your chances of spotting chimpanzees and getting great photos. On the other hand, the wet seasons—April, May and November—bring higher rainfall, which causes the vegetation to grow taller and makes sightings more challenging.
