Best Time to Do Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura Gorge

The best time to visit Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee trekking is during Uganda’s dry season, from June to October and December to March. During these months, you’ll experience mild rainfall, which makes trekking through the forest easier and more comfortable. The vegetation is also less dense, providing clearer views of the chimpanzees—perfect for great photographs.

In contrast, the wet season from April to May and November brings heavier rainfall, which causes the vegetation to grow thicker, making chimpanzee sightings less clear.
