Best Time for Gorilla Habituation Experience in Bwindi National Park

The best time for the Gorilla Habituation Experience in Bwindi National Park is from June to October and December to March. During these months, Uganda enjoys its dry season, which means less rain and easier trekking through the forests. The vegetation is also less dense, making it easier to spot gorillas and capture stunning photos.

In contrast, the wet season (April, May and November) brings higher rainfall, which causes vegetation to grow thick, making gorilla sightings more challenging. However, the advantage of trekking during these months is that the treks tend to be shorter, as food is abundant in the forest and gorillas don’t travel far for it. Regardless of when you visit, Gorilla Habituation Experiences in Bwindi are well-organized and you have a 99% chance of seeing gorillas in their natural habitat year-round.
