When to Visit: Best Time for Gorilla Trekking in Nkuringo

The best time for gorilla trekking in Nkuringo is during the dry seasons, from June to October and December to March. During these months, the weather is milder with less rainfall, making the trekking experience more enjoyable and easier. The vegetation is not as dense, providing better visibility for gorilla sightings and fantastic opportunities for photography.

While April, May and November are considered the wet seasons, these months still offer a shorter trek since the mountain gorillas don’t travel long distances in search of food, as it’s readily available. Although the vegetation is thicker, the chances of spotting the gorillas remain high and the trek can be less strenuous.
