Securing Ruhija gorilla permits can be challenging, especially during peak seasons (June to September) but Trek Africa Gorillas is here to help! We specialize in ensuring you get the permits you need, even when availability is tight. About the Ruhija Sector: Location, Gorilla Families & Scenic Highlights

The Ruhija sector is located in the eastern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and is one of the most exciting regions for gorilla trekking. It’s home to four gorilla families:

• Bitukura
• Mukiza
• Kyaguriro
• Oruzogo

At an altitude of 2,350 meters above sea level, Ruhija is the coldest region in Bwindi, offering not only memorable gorilla encounters but also scenic hiking trails like the Rwamunyonyi Peak. Travelers staying in Buhoma often trek here during peak season when Buhoma permits are sold out.

Ruhija has 32 gorilla trekking permits available each day, so booking early is essential to secure your slot.

How to Book Ruhija Gorilla Permits: Costs and Advance Planning

To trek gorillas in Ruhija, you need a valid permit.

• Cost of Ruhija Gorilla Permits:
