Walking Safari in Lake Mburo National Park

Walking Safari in Lake Mburo National Park: A Unique Wildlife Experience

A walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park offers a unique and immersive experience to explore Uganda’s rich wildlife up close. Unlike other parks with dangerous predators like lions and elephants, Lake Mburo is a safe haven for walking safaris. The park’s open plains and limited predator presence allow you to experience a variety of savannah wildlife and birdlife without concerns about larger predators like leopards.

As Uganda’s smallest savannah park, Lake Mburo is home to an impressive diversity of animals, including 69 mammal species and 332 bird species. It is the only park in Uganda where you can see impalas and in western Uganda, it’s the only park where you can spot zebras, giraffes and eland.

Walking safaris are an integral part of our Lake Mburo safaris and we offer a variety of packages to help you make the most of your visit.
