This trek is a relatively easy forest walk with a steady climb through montane forests, tall trees, and thick undergrowth. As you make your way to the highest point of the trek, you’ll reach 2,373 meters at Omusita Rest Spot. Along the way, you may spot wildlife such as chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and an array of bird species. The trail runs along the top of the Nyamwamba River, where you can take in views of ravine forests and spot kingfishers and other water-loving birds.

At the end of your trek, you’ll have lunch in the forest before descending back down, making it a day full of natural beauty and adventure.
