Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of Africa’s oldest rainforests and was designated a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site in 1994. The park is home to over 400 plant species and 120 mammals, including mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, baboons, forest elephants, and antelopes.
Gorilla trekking is the highlight of any visit to Bwindi. Every day, a limited number of gorilla permits are issued, allowing visitors to spend one hour with a habituated gorilla family. Gorilla trekking permits cost:
