Gorilla Permits: Securing Your Spot

The balance for the tour can be paid three weeks before the safari begins. Once your payment is processed, we will confirm the details and send you a booking ID and receipt for your records.

At Excursia Adventures, we have exclusive access to the Uganda Wildlife Authority’s (UWA) gorilla permit database, allowing us to check permit availability for Bwindi and Mgahinga National Parks in real time. This access ensures that we can help secure your gorilla permits quickly and efficiently.

When your permits are ready, we’ll collect them from UWA in Kampala, and they will be securely stored at our office until your trek. On the day of your trek, your guide will have your gorilla permit ready to present on your behalf.

This experience is currently available for specific families in the southern part of Bwindi, with reports of another group being habituated in the northern region to cater to visitors staying in the Buhoma and Ruhija areas.
